Action Aquapark Sunny Beach: tickets, access and visit planning

Action Aquapark is in Sunny Beach’s West District, at the address Sunny Beach Resort 8240. The park opened in 2003 and describes itself as Bulgaria’s first water park.

Hotel Venus is in Sunny Beach, and the park is a local day-out option from the resort. For context on the surrounding area, how Sunny Beach’s centre, bus station and promenade fit together can help you orient your plans.

Action Aquapark combines extreme slides, family rides, children’s zones and pools across a 36,000-square-metre site. The park has more than 30 water attractions, as well as bars and restaurants.

For high-speed slides, its named options include The Black Hole, Twister and Kamikaze. The Black Hole is a covered 150-metre slide. The park describes a 165-metre attraction as Bulgaria’s longest and says its slide tower is 20 metres high.

Family attractions include Niagara and Hydrotube, while Water Castle and Adventure Island are aimed at children. For a slower stretch, the Lazy River is 330 feet long; there is also a Jacuzzi and an adult pool.

Some attractions are not suitable for guests over 120 kg. Individual attractions may be temporarily closed, so check the official site before you go.

Tickets are organised by date period and guest category, and the park’s opening schedule is seasonal. The ticket information includes full-day admission, a family ticket, a group ticket and an afternoon ticket, with eligibility and prices depending on the category.

Opening hours

• Monday to Sunday: 10:00–17:00

Last checked November 2026. Hours can change on holidays and for special events.

The full-day ticket categories distinguish guests taller than 130 cm, guests measuring 90–130 cm and guests over 65 years old; entry is free for guests up to 90 cm.

The family ticket covers two guests over 130 cm and two measuring 90–130 cm. The group ticket covers six guests over 130 cm. An afternoon ticket is also available for a seasonal date range, with admission from 14:30 to 18:00.

Opening hours vary across the operating season, and ticket prices change by date period. Entry arrangements and included food or drinks can also differ across periods, so check the official site before you go. The park says hours may change without notice because of weather or force majeure, and tickets are not refunded because of inclement weather.

For timing, attractions start 15 minutes after opening and begin stopping 30 minutes before closing. Slides close from 12:30 to 13:30, while some attractions operate in rotation during the day.

The park offers free shuttle transport with pickup points in Elenite, Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas, Nessebar and Ravda. From Hotel Venus, Sunny Beach city centre is about 15 minutes on foot or about 5 minutes by car; you can pair a park visit with time around the centre.

If you are staying at a two-star hotel in Sunny Beach, the park’s Sunny Beach pickup points give you a transport option without needing to arrange a separate shuttle.

The park lists +359 88 999 1 666 and office@aquapark.bg for contact. Confirm shuttle pickup details with the park before setting out.

For a wider day plan, how to fit a Sunny Beach day from the shore into the evening is useful when you are deciding what else to combine with the water park.

For a mixed-age group, compare the children’s zones and family attractions with the larger slides before choosing tickets. Water Castle and Adventure Island are the children’s areas; Niagara and Hydrotube are among the family attractions, while extreme-slide names include The Black Hole, Twister and Kamikaze.

Check height categories before buying: the ticket table separates guests over 130 cm from those measuring 90–130 cm, and entry is free for guests up to 90 cm. The family ticket is structured for two guests in each of the first two height categories, while the group ticket is for six guests over 130 cm.

Build the day around the operating schedule rather than assuming every slide runs continuously. Slides have a midday closure, and attractions can run in rotation or be temporarily unavailable. Some attractions are unsuitable for guests over 120 kg.
